In 2007, the main stakeholders working with trainers at European level identified the need to develop and propose a new generic and unique Training Course for Trainers at advanced level in Europe using an innovative educational approach.In 2008, the European Commission and the Council of Europe decided to develop such a long-term Training Course for Trainers through their partnership in the field of youth to act as a catalyst for the values underlying European Youth Work.The name of the Training Course is TALE ''Trainers for Active Learning in Europe''.The implementation of TALE started in April 2009 and will last until December 2010 involving different phases.
TALE is run by the partnership between the Council of Europe and the European Commission in the field of youth, and implemented in co-operation with the Council of Europe, the European Commission and its partners (NAs and SALTO networks) and the European Youth Forum
The e-learning platform of the Course called LOFT "Learning Opportunities for Trainers" which you are currently visiting, is a place for discussions, reflections and, most of all, for learning. The LOFT is password protected and reserved to participant-trainers of TALE.
